A Look at 2008 (Christmas Newsletter)

Here’s what we look like this year. We retired from Wal*Mart in September and spent the next six weeks working on the Proposition 8 campaign to protect traditional marriage in California. Now that we are retired we’re looking around to figure out what’s next. We’re looking to sell our place so we put it on the market. Nothing but Lookey Lou’s so far. We’ve been looking after the grandkids on their frequent visits. We enjoy our service in the church where Delcia serves as the Stake Relief Society President and Allan serves as her assistant! and ward High Priest Group Leader.

Look at how Andy and Jenn’s Family is growing! Now they will be looking after baby Jordan as he was legally adopted in September. Look how cute these grandkids are! Allaura looks at her music when she plays the viola. Xander and Desi look forward to attending kindergarten every day at the school across from their home in Folsom, CA. And Jordan is just a good looker!

Jilyn is lookin’ good with her friend, Andrew Meyer.
They’ve got look-a-like shirts from the J. V. Bushman family
reunion at Manchester Beach, CA last July. She is currently
looking for a new job in Salem, Oregon where she lives.
Look out! Big things will be happening with this girl.

As we again celebrate our Savior’s birth,
we pray that God’s blessings will be upon you all year.

Love, Allan and Delcia

Prop 8 Passes

On November 4, 2008 California Propisition 8 passed as 52 % of the electorate voted to sustain traditional marriage. Thank you to everyone for your efforts on this hard-fought battle. Traditional marriage is now in the California constitition. I am sure we've not seen the end of this, but for now, the battle is won.

Final Push on Prop 8

Delcia and Al have been helping the Prop 8 effort by working in th Prop 8 Call Center in Sacramento. We need everyone to do all they can to ensure passage of this important California Constitutional Ammendment defining marriage between a man and a woman, restoring traditional marriage, overturning the vote of 4 supreme court justices and keeping our children safe from immoral teaching in the public schools. Please make sure your vote counts!
